In just over 4 months since CNSmobeta has been established, there are now 160 videos and counting on the tick list. That's an incredible amount of climbing in such a short period of time and speaks to just how good the bouldering in this province is. The list includes a who's who of classic boulder problems, but the crazy thing is it is only the beginning - CNSmobeta hasn't even been to Dover Island yet! I can't wait to see what is in store for 2012! |

An amazing January bouldering session produced a nice mobeta update - video beta for every single line at the Soeil boulder in the LOC! Now that's gettin' er done. A great spot for the novice / intermediate climber with climbs from nearly every grade from V0 through V7.

For those who missed it, CNSmobeta recently gained some exposure from our friends south of the boarder at climberism magazine. The Mobeta project has come a long way in a very short time and this is exactly the goal of the project: improve access to Nova Scotia bouldering for everyone. We know there is some seriously good rock to climb here, and lots of it with over 1000 established problems! Up until now, nobody believed us, because it's just so damn hard to find... |

The classic bouldering area Nouveau Riche received some love today with full photos, descriptions and GPS. More exciting is a very nice update to Thoughful Spot. I wish GPS was available my first time trying to follow the written guidebook directions - which landed me in somebody's backyard instead of at the boulders. Twice. The update also includes never before seen photos of every boulder problem! Nouveau Riche

A massive update to Terrance Bay Woods area with help from the classic Terrance Bay bouldering guide. A mix of new high resolution photos and videos and old school photos nearly complete this area. Any and all contributions of modern photos / videos are welcome. Enjoy!
Then and now...

A nice update today featuring photos and GPS for the classic LOC destination Area 51. GPS trails including approaches from the swamp and the elusive dog house trail. With winter just around the corner, now is the time to send those fall projects before retreating to the gym for the winter. Temps have been so good lately that Yasushi was climbing in a T-shirt during a night session in December - crazy! Who says global warming is all bad? A casual session with near perfect conditions saw a repeat of some classic problems and a send of the classic Hardly Easy V9 by Quinn. David Quinn getting set for the crux move on Hardly Easy V9
