A long late fall brought with it some nice new additions to the Nova Scotia bouldering catalog.

Climbing in the V5 range is undoubtedly one of the best times to be a climber in Nova Scotia, with a higher number of stellar classics than any other grade. Operation Bonze God was submitted by Rob Grandy, and looks like another stunning addition to this grade. See for yourself here.

When Taylor Kilgour isn't crushing white taped problems in Seven Bays, he is out hunting for hidden gems in Herring Cove. Taylor put up a new test piece Kamakaze V9 on an impressive piece of rock at Battery Cove. Battery Cove has been added as a stub in the Underdevelopment Development section pending further details (GPS coordinates and beta included). An addition stub has been created for a area Chrysalis at Herring Cove.

Bouldering Herring Cove was originally documented in Greg Campbell's early guidebook "Halifax Bouldering" which can be found in the library section of this site. It has been overlook for many years as development focused on areas further outside Halifax, but as Taylor is proving, there is still lots of potential much closer to home.
