Before there was the published guidebook, there was a dozen early guidebooks from pioneers in the climbing community. "Halifax Bouldering" came into being out of an amalgamation of original work and topos from many sources. As is always the case, a fair bit was changed or lost in translation, making these guidebooks an important part of Halifax climbing history. They are full of interesting information and forgotten gems. They now have a home so this part of climbing history will be preserved for the future, and the authors can continue to share their knowledge the way they intended.

Also available are the new guidebooks from Luke Buxton. These beautiful guidebooks are a work of art in their own regard and they document a unique and special bouldering area in Musquodoboit.
