Polly's Cove - Aftermath

Great late fall/early spring location. Very protected area from northern winds with great southern exposure.




1. Gerridae V2
Step across the gap on from the Peggy's Cove side onto the seaside boulder and top out. Fun and unpaddable at high tide. Variation SDS low tide only.



2. Merman V1
This climb is only accessible an hour either side of low tide. On the seaside face of seaside boulder, pull on to obvious edges and toss to the lip. 

3. No Service SDS V2
Go up the right arete on the seaside boulder when facing Aftermath. Start is underwater at high tide.


4. After the Rapture SDS V4 
Long traverse along the lip of the inland boulder right to left, top out around the corner with your back to Aftermath. Pumpy. 

5. I Get By With a Little Kelp From My Friends SDS V1
Start as for After the Rapture but go right and top out on in-cut sidepulls



6. Aftermath SDS V9 
From arete and small sidepull, go up overhanging face. (FA Ben Blakney 2003)

7. Bird Turd V1 
Climb the offwidth between Juan and Aftermath

8. Juan SDS V5
Use low crimp and arete to climb up and onto the tall face of the beachside wall left of the crack

9. Big Dreamers V9 
Start on tiny crimpers and big move to good hold. Make sure you bring good spotters! (FA Ben Smith 2013)
